Anyone who has been part of my life for the past three years will know that when I was nineteen I was diagnosed with Poly Cystic Ovarain Syndrome.
PCOS starts at puberty, this is when the symptoms are most noticeable and stays with you till you hit the menopauses. A lot of girls who get PCOS when they hit puberty will gain a lot of weight all of sudden, this happened to me and I don't just mean a few pounds here and there, I piled on the weight to the point where at my biggest i weighed around 26 stone. For years I struggled with losing weight, holding a lot of water weight, acne on my chin area, hair loss and facial hair <----- not fun at all.
To get a diagnosis of PCOS you have one, some or all of the symptoms listed below. Some people have no symptoms at all. Also any size woman can have PCOS but it is normally associated with people who are carrying extra weight.
Symptoms include: Irregular periods, Finding it hard to loose weight, Overweight, Depression, Some facial hair (I suffer with darker around my mouth.), Thinning hair, Hair growing quickly (legs and underarms.), Infertility, Cysts on the ovaries, Elevated insulin levels, Insulin resistance, Oily skin, Dandruff, Skin discolourations(darker skin in upper inner thigh and armpits.), High cholesterol and High blood pressure.

A bit TMI but I started my periods when I was thirteen and they were quite irregular but every time I went to the doctors about this I was just told it was normal at first for them to be irregular and it would balance out in time. This went on and on for years until I went to my doctor who was new at my surgery as I was finding it incredible hard to loose weight. He looked back through my records and seen that I had been to the doctors countless times about my irregular periods and asked me if I had been referred to the hospital regarding PCOS. Once my doctor found out i hadn't he referred me to have a scan to see what was going on. My tests came back positive confirming PCOS. Unfortunately I was not diagnosed until I was 19 meaning I had been living around six not knowing I had PCOS.
In 2011 I decided it was time to start losing some weight. This was incredible hard for me. I managed to loose around a stone. From 2012-2013 I changed my eating habits, made some life style changes and put the hard work in and managed to loose eight stone. If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen many posts where I felt like given up but with the support of everyone behind me I kept going. In 2014 I carried on with my weight loose and at the start of 2014 I am currently at a eleven and a half stone lose. I am determined to get back on it now Christmas is over and get to the twelve stone mark.

As a lot of people know infertility is a common symptom of PCOS. Also you can be at a high risk of miscarriage when you have PCOS. Unfortunately my partner and I have had two miscarriages. I had my first one in May 2014. I was only around three weeks pregnant  but did not know I was pregnant at the time. On New Years Eve 2014 my partner and I had it confirmed that we were expecting a baby. Unfortunately at seven weeks pregnant on 7th January 2015 I had my second miscarriage. I won't dwell on this to much as I am still finding it extremely hard to deal with.

If you have any of the symptoms please go to your doctors and ask them to refer you for a scan to confirm it. You can get help with medication and operations. There is also so much information online. We all just have to remember we are not alone when coping with PCOS.

It is that time of year again when Valentines Day is just around the corner. Valentines Day will always been seen different from each individual. Now that I live with my partner and we treat each other all year round and try and have date night as much as possible I personally Valentines Day as just another day but on the other hand I would very much like a nice bunch of flowers and I am just like every other girl and would love a little surprise from the Mr. Last Valentines day me and my partner went to Harry Potter World, Nandos and we went to the cinema to see The Lego Movie. Our Valentines Day was perfect and summed us up as a couple perfectly. We aren't really the romantic type. This year we are planning on going to our favourite Chinese restaurant, anyone who knows Kent well it is a little Chinese call Hons. As for gifts I am contributing to his Airsoft collection as that is what he has asked for and I have sent the Mr some links to some items but personally I would love a surprise gift.

I have included a little gift guide for any guys who might be reading this and are stuck for ideas or for any girls who want to forward the links to their partners as a bit of a hint.

I have spent many hours just browsing the Kate Spade website lusting over pretty much everything on their website. These Kate Spade Dear Valentine Heart Studs would make a lovely valentines day gift. They are a perfect size for every day wear.
What girl wouldn't love to receive a Spa day for 2 to enjoy on Valentines day.
Michael Kors will always be a winner when it comes to buying your girlfriend, fiancée or wife a gift. I received the perfume for Christmas and love it. I think the Michael Kors watches make a perfect gift. Pandora and Nomination release Valentines Day collections every year and this years is just as pretty as previous years. I have my eyes on both charms featured in this gift guide.

What do you think of Valentines Day? What do you normal do?

After browsing the internet to find some tag blog posts to do I found one called 30 Beauty questions. It looked quite interesting so here it is.

    1. Do you remember your first makeup item?

I don't remember what it was exactly but it was probably something that my older sister past down to me. The first item I was bought was probably something along the lines of concealer or powder.

    2. Describe your perfect mascara?

My perfect mascara would be jet black and a mascara that gives you a bit of curl but lots and lots of volume. Any good recommendations?

    3. What kind of coverage do you prefer from a foundation?

I prefer a mid to heavy coverage with a flawless finish. My all time favourite is Esteé Lauder double wear.

    4. Favourite high end brand?

Most defiantly Chanel for lipsticks and hourglass for their ambient light blushers.

    5. What cosmetic brand have you always wanted to try but still haven't?

Tom Form has been on my to try list for a good while now.

    6. Favourite drugstore brand?

L'oreal and Rimmel for foundations and Maybelline for mascara.

    7. Do you wear fake eyelashes?

I don't I must prefer to wear a good mascara to give me length and volume.

    8. Is there any kind of makeup you can not leave the house without?

I can quite happily leave the house with no makeup to just pop to the shops but if I feel like I can't go out without any on then I will pop some concealer under my eyes to hide the dark circles and pop some powder on and I am good to go.

    9. What is your most cherished beauty product?

I have a Lancôme blusher my sister bought me for my 18th birthday. It has the Eiffel Tower embossed on it. It sits in my drawer unused as I can't bring myself to use it.

    10. How often do you shop for makeup?

I would probably say on a monthly basis. Most of the time though I can go months without buying anything then I will just have a big blow out.

    11. Do you have a beauty budget or do you spend freely?

I normally have a big blow out when my sister and I go off to London for a few days so I do some saving before we go so I can spend freely.

    12. Do you utilise coupons or reward cards when you shop for cosmetics?

My boots card and coupons are defiantly well used. I also have the Superdrug reward card as well.

    13. What type of product do you buy the most of?

I would defiantly say mascara. I love trying all the new releases. As my sister says I am a bit of a mascara whore.

    14. Is there a brand you can not stand?

I would probably say Revlon as I don't like any of their mascaras and I don't own anything by them.

    15. Do you avoid certain ingredients?

    No can't say I do.

    16. Do you have a favourite place to shop for makeup?

Selfridges for high end products and boots for 'drugstore' products.

    17. Do you like trying new skincare?

I am not really fussed when it comes to skincare as long as it takes my makeup off and doesn't break me out I don't really mind what it is. I am a big fan of Hope in a jar.

    18. Favourite bath and body brand?

I love Soap and Glory and I am a big fan of Victoria Secret shower gels.

    19. If you could only buy one brand which would you choose?

For makeup I choose say Estèe Lauder and for bath and body I would choose Soap and Glory.

    20. What brand has the best packaging?

At the minute I am in love with the Charlotte Tilbury packaging.

    21. Which celebrity always has great makeup?

Girl crush, Mila Kunis *insert heart eye emoji.*

    22. Do you belong to any makeup communities?

Apart from the blogging world, No I don't.

    24. Do you like multifunctional products?

Yes, If I can do two or more jobs with one product then they are always a winner in my eyes.

    25. Are you clumsy when it comes to putting makeup on?

I wouldn't say I was apart from the standard mascara on the nose situations.

    26. Do you use a base/primer for your eyes?

I am currently using and loving Benefit Stay Don't Stray.

    27. How many hair products to you use on a typical day?

I don't really use many hair products unless I am having curly hair that day. If I am having curly hair then I will use a hairspray and the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray.

    28. What do you apply first, concealer or foundation?

I always apply my foundation first then do my eyes then apply concealer.

    29. Do you ever consider taking making classes?

    I don't think I would.

'2030 is the same amount of time away as 2000'

I read this quote on Twitter on New Years Eve and it really made me realise how quick the months and years are going.

2014 was a roller-coaster year for me. In February I made a big decision to pack up my things and move from the North of the country to the South of the country to live with my partner. Previous to this Glen and I were in a long distance relationship and we knew eventually one of us would take the leap of faith and move to be with the other one. However scary this decision was at the time it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. As I write this post this time next month I will have been living in the South for a year.
2014 also involved a few trips back home to visit family and friends, a few shopping trips to London with my sister, a trip to the Isle of White with Glen and family and a trip to Wembley to see Lee Evans of the last night of his tour. I also spent many hours watching netflixs, going to the cinema and eating out with Glen.

All in all 2014 was a pretty good year in my eyes. I plan to make 2015 a year to remember. I am not really one for making new years resolutions but there are defiantly some things I would like to have achieved by the end of 2015.

    1. Glen and I to own our own home.

    2. To loose around 2-3 stone.
    3. Glen and I to start our own family.
    4. To have tried and like more foods.
    5. To enjoy myself more and not worry as much.

What are hoping to achieve in 2015?
