A perfect Saturday night to me involves having friends round and breaking out the board games. Board games were a big part of my childhood and I still love to play them now so I was super excited when I was invited along to take part in the semi-finals of the Pork Farms Board Games Championships for Micro Pubs across the country in Orpington this Friday (29.04.16).

Leading Pork Pie manufacturers, Pork Farms are one step closer to finding their Board Games Champion after announcing their semi-finalists this week ahead of the grand final which will be held during National Board Games Week at the end of April.

With over 40 UK micro pubs participating in the preliminary heats, Pork Farms, who joined forces with the Micro Pub Association have announced their top-scoring winners who will be going into the semi-finals. The micro pubs heading into the semi-finals are:
One Inn The Wood - Orpington
Bake and Ale House - Kent
    Anchored In Worthing - Worthing
    Penny Farthing - Crayford
The Last Post Derbyshire - Derby
    Early Doors - Daventry

Micro pub landlords up and down the country have awarded their competitors with recognition for taking part in this successful campaign. The micro pubs in the semi-final will be competing at the award-winning micro pub, 'One Inn The Wood' in Orpington, Kent on April 29th to decide who goes on to compete in the Grand Final the following day.

Kim Burgess, Head of Markets for Pork Farms said: "We would like to thank all who have participated in the first round of the championships and we look forward to the semi-finals and grand final results."

With the first round battles showcasing the quickest players and the sharpest minds officially over, Pork Farms want to thank all those who participated during the heats.

If you would like to keep up-to-date with all the stages of the championships and see who is crowned Pork Farms Board Games Champion head over to - www.boardgameschampionships.co.uk.

Personally I can't wait to join in the fun.

If you read my 2016 Beauty Challenges post back in January then you will know this year is the year I want to declutter my make-up and beauty draws. If you have read any of my empties posts you will know I am well on the way to achieving that. Now that we are four months into the year lets take a look at how things are going.

Ten mini beauty challenges for 2016.
    1.  Finish Victoria's Secret Strawberry and Champagne spray.
This spray is still going strong. I swear every time I use it someone fills it back up. It seems to be never ending.

    2. Use up at least five body butter.
    2 down, 3 to go.

    3. Finish Soap and Glory primer.
I have finished this and repurchased it as it is my favourite primer.

    4. Finish 2true highlighting concealer.
I have finished this concealer. It was good but wouldn't repurchase.

    5. Finish Hope in a night jar.
Another product finished. I think I will repurchase it once I have used up all my other moisturisers.

    6. Finish W.O.S and Naked 2 in the Naked Basics palette.
Still going strong and have hit pan on 1 eyeshadow.

    7. Finish Mac Creme Cup.
    Still going strong.

    8. Hit pan on a blusher.
    Still haven't managed this one.

    9. Hit pan on a powder.
I have hit pan on one and it is nearly finished.

    10. Finish Charlotte Tilbury Lip Magic Lip Balm.
    Still going strong.

As you can see my challenge is going pretty well. Hopefully in my next update I will have finished some more products.

I have always been lucky when it comes to my skin so skin care was never a big deal to me until I discovered my sisters skin care stash. After asking what seemed like a million questions I decided I needed to get on this bandwagon with her.
If you have been following me for a while you will know that I have PCOS and over the last six months I have been suffering with a lot of hormonal breakouts on my chin. After a chat with my sister I changed up my skin care routine and have found some gems along the way.

    Superdrug Vitamin E Micellar Water
Micellar water is one of them products that is always in my routine but I am not loyal to a certain one. As long as it gets my make-up off then it is good in my eyes. I fine the Vitamin E one from Superdrug works well but does make my eyes sting if I get it near them. Also it is in a Una Brennan bottle as the Vitamin E bottle is terrible and quite hard to open.

    Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream
I have a mini pot of this and have been holding off using it for a while as I knew I would fall in love with it but with a £70 price tag it is not something I wanted to love and guess what... It is now my favourite moisturiser. The thick consistency leaves my skin feeling super soft and personally I think it is worth the price tag.

Charlotte Tilbury Take It All Off Eye Make-up Remover
Another Charlotte Tilbury mini but unfortunately I am not impressed with this one. Even if I don't have a lot of eye makeup on I find I need to use a lot of the product to remove the makeup. Also I find that the product separates quickly. I won't be purchasing the full size any time soon.

    Freedom Pro Studio Glow Tonic
I absolutely love this product. I've found over the last six months it has really helped control the break outs on my chin. I think for the price it is a bargain and really works wonders for my skin.

Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Renewing Creme
I ran out of night moisturiser but have so many moisturisers to use up so I raided my draws and found this one which can be used in the morning and at night. Its a thin consistency but leaves my skin feeling soft and revived in the morning. So far so good.

    Sudocrem
A love hate product with a lot of people but I love it. Once again it has really helped my break out situation. I pop it on on and night but I find it helped dry out my break outs. Cheap and cheerful.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Overnight Peel
I have found this product has really helped with some scaring and redness left from the break outs. You only need a pea sized amount to cover a large surface so I can see this product lasting a long time.

What products are in your current skin care routine?

Living 300 miles away from my sister means we don't get to go shopping together as much as we would like. Ever so often she very kindly sends me a parcel to keep me going. Here is my latest box.

This month she called it 'April Blogger Mail' and even sent me a note with a little description of each product just like a PR team would do. Let's take a look inside the box:
    Next Initial Candle.
'You get through a lot of candles so here is your very own C candle. A beautiful mix of sweet white jasmine will go perfectly into Spring.'
I am currently burning this candle, it smells lovely and the scent fills the whole room.

    Superdrug Emoji Lip Balm.
'Who doesn't love a good emoji? Pick your favourite emoji and scent for a fun little handbag essential.'
My sister kindly scent me the princess lip balm which is vanilla scent. It smells like cake what more could a girl want.

    Yankee Candle Wax Melts.
'You love a good cake smell so I have included vanilla frosting and toasted marshmallow. So good you will want to eat them not burn them.'
She was so right they smell amazing. Vanilla frosting is my favourite by far.

Soap and Glory Scrub Em and Leave Em.
'A lovely little mini scrub that will leave your skin super soft. Includes sea salt to give a more abrasive scrub. Just don't forget to moisturise afterwards.'
Perfect little scrub for traveling. I always use a scrub after shaving my legs and can't wait to give this one a go.

Now onto the two most exciting products.
Lets just take a minute to appreciate the packaging. Rose Gold perfection.
'Beauty with a free-spirited soul. The allure of an eye-opening adventure. Kiko Milano launches Wanderlust, the new limited edition summer collection inspired by the passion for travel.'

    Endless Sky Volume Effect Mascara.
    'Volumising mascara featuring innovative technology.'
Mascara is my weakness. I have quickly tried out this one and so far so good it gives the right amount of volume without making the lashes look clumpy.

    Mirage Lip Stylo.
'Bold coloured lipstick with a shiny finish.'
I have the Shade 01 Canyon Rose, a gorgeous nude-pinky. The perfect day to day lipstick with a long lasting formula.

Have you tried any of the products my sister was kind enough to send me?

I am one of them people who tends to use a hand full of concealers when applying my make-up to ensure I get a flawless base so when Collection released the Conceal And Light Like A Pro Palette I knew I needed to get my hands on it.
The palette itself contains four concealer colours to suit majority of skin tones, a highlighting cream, a yellow concealer to combat under eye dark circles and veins, a green concealer to combat redness and a purple concealer to combat dullness. Everything you need in one palette.
Being super pale unfortunately I can only use one of the concealer shades but the others will be perfect for summer or to use as a cream contour.
I have been using the palette for the past couple of weeks and it is fast becoming my favourite. The products are super soft and blendable and the colour correcting colours work perfectly to combat my dark circles and rosy red cheeks and redness around my nose.
Priced at £5.99 I think the palette is a bit of a bargain and would definitely consider repurchasing it once it is finished.

Have you tried the Collection concealer palette? What other Collection products do you love?

Instagram is definitely my favourite app on my phone. I can spend hours just scrolling and double tapping so when I saw 'The Instagram Tag' over on the lovely Christina's blog I knew I had to give it a go.
Lets take a look round my Instagram account.

When did you create your Instagram account?
1st January 2012 according to my Instagram. I can't believe I have been Instagramming for four years now.

What was the first picture you posted?
A photo of my mams home made Yorkshire Puddings.

How many times do you log in a day/week?
I'm always logged in but I normally check my feed first thing in the morning when I wake up and then I check it during the day when I have a free five minutes and normally before I head to bed. As I said before I am slightly addicted.

    What is your worst picture?
I don't really have one if I don't like the picture I tend to not upload it or just delete it after if I am not a fan of it.

Which picture has the most likes?
The picture of my engagement ring when Glen and I announced our engagement has 72 likes and a lot of comments thanks to all my lovely followers congratulating us.

How many followers do you have? How many people are you following?
I currently have 645 followers and I'm following 1382 people! I really need to go through them.

Show us your top 3 pictures?
Just like Christina and Kirsty, I'm assuming this is based on my personal preference as opposed to number of likes received. So to me my top three pictures are:
Glen and I at our engagement party, My sister and I when she came to visit and the collage from my birthday trip home.

What is the last picture on your Instagram feed?
My last picture was uploaded on 3.4.16 which is my favourite picture of Glen and I from our engagement party and it marks one year since Glen asked me to be his wife.

I tag you all to do this tag.

Leave your Instagram names below so I can head over and take a look. If you want to check our my many many pictures head over and follow me @Lottiemxo.
