Life has taken over recently and blogging has had to take a bit of a back seat unfortunately. Recently my routine has pretty much been work, eat and sleep leaving not much time for anything else. Luckily Glen and I booked a week off work for the second week of July to head back to the North to stay with my parents for a week. We had such a lovely week, on the Monday we took my dad out for food and to see Ted 2 as a late fathers day treat as we couldn't be there to celebrate fathers day with him. On Tuesday Glen and I celebrated our two year anniversary. As we were in the North we headed back to York were it all started two years ago. On the morning of our anniversary we headed to York Designer Outlet which I was super excited about as they have recently opened a Michael Kors shop in the Outlet. I was very lucky to be treated to a purse, coin purse and mini satchel as an anniversary present off Glen. Major fiance points! We then headed into York to find our hotel. We stayed overnight in the gorgeous Royal York Hotel where we spent some of our stay relaxing in the pool and jacuzzi which was heavenly. Once we had checked in we went for a walk around York, did some shopping and grabbed some lunch. We then headed back to the hotel to get ready for the evening. In the evening we head out to Prezzo and then for a couple of drinks with a gorgeous sunset to end the evening. All in all we had a lovely anniversary and could not be happier.
After heading back to my parents house we didn't really do much for the rest of the week. We spent Thursday night down at the beach. We don't really have many beaches close to us in Kent so we took full advantage of the fact my parents live about a 15 minute drive from the beach. On Friday we took my parents down to Whitby for the day. We had a lovely day together walking around Whitby and eating fish and chips. Saturday we spent the day shopping in Newcastle with family then Sunday my mam and dad made Sunday dinner then it was time for us to head back to Kent. We had such a lovely time back home and came back feeling very relaxed.

We have quite a bit going on in the next couple of months including the Southampton Bloggers meet up which I can't wait to attend, feeling slightly nervous at the same time though. We also have my parents staying with us for a week in August, a wedding reception in September and a trip back home in October for my birthday. Safe to say we are busy busy busy.

Hope you are all well and enjoying the summer even if the weather isn't to great at the minute.

I have always wanted a sweet table instead of favours at my wedding. Personally I think it can work out cheaper and is more fun to do than wedding favours. Glen and I have already decided we want our sweet table to be full of favourites. We want our parents, bridesmaids and best men to pick their favourite sweets to be incorporated into the table. My choice will be pink and blue bottles and I am pretty sure Glens will be giant strawberries. We are still undecided whether we want personalised pick and mix bag or the traditional ones. It is safe to say I am super excited to go sweet shopping though.

Are you thinking of having a sweet table? If you had a sweet table what would be your advise to anyone wanting to have one at their wedding reception?

As a lot of you may already know Glen and I got engaged in April. Every since we got engaged I have lost hours to Pinterest. I am loving getting lots of ideas for our wedding. Glen and I don't want a traditional wedding, we want it to reflect us as a couple and want to make it as fun and exciting for everyone involved.
We have an idea of our colour scheme and theme. You might be able to guess it from this post and future posts. As I mentioned before we aren't going down the traditional route for most things including the cake. Glen is a big fan of skulls and I have always had an interest in them. I like the idea of skulls being paired with roses as I feel it can give that girly touch. We both love the idea of having 'Till death do us part' incorporated into the design as well.
I can't wait to go to cake tasting sessions even though I think we both know chocolate will win.

How did you come up for the design for your wedding cake? Is anyone else obsessed with Pinterest?

Month six of 2015 over and done with. June just seemed to be busy busy bus. July should be a good month filled with Glen and I's anniversary and a trip back to the North to visit my parents. I found my perfect lip combo in June, Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner Eastend Snob paired with Ted Baker Pink Lipstick. A true my lips but better colour. With the warm summer weather we have been having recently powder has become an essential in my makeup routine. I love how light weight Bourjois Silk Edition Compact Powder is but it still does the job of keeping me shine free.
If I was only allowed to buy two makeup products for the rest of my life they would defiantly be blusher and mascara. My favourite blusher for June was MaxFactor Creme Puff Blusher Seductive Pink. I love the pop of colour it gives along with a slight highlight. Two in one products are always a good thing in my eyes.
Real Techniques brushes are always a favourite of mine and my two stand outs this month have been the Sculpting Brush and Multi-Task Brush. My foundation brush was in need of a wash so I have used both of these for applying foundation and they both work a treat. If you own them I would defiantly recommend trying them for foundation.
My last favourite for June is defiantly MINIONS. Anyone who knows me know I am a little bit obsessed with them. Before anyone asks, Yes I have seen the film.

What were your favourites for the month of June?

Lets take a look through my rubbish and see what I have used up over the past few months.
No7 Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking Wipes.
These retail for £7 but I only ever buy them when I have a £5 off no7 voucher as I think £7 is a ridicules price for face wipes. I mainly use these to wipe foundation off my hand or if I have made a small mistake.
    Would I repurchase? - If I had a £5 off voucher, Yes.
    Garnier Micellar Water Mini.
My only bug bare with the garnier micellar water is the size of the bottle so when I seen this mini version I knew I had to pick it up. I love using micellar water to remove my make-up and even if I have no make-up on I like to wipe some across my face just to refresh my face.
Would I repurchase? - Yes, I plan on repurchasing the big one and decanting it into the smaller bottle.
    Burberry Effortless Mascara.
This was a Tkmaxx find. I could not believe it when I seen it on the stand. I really enjoyed using this mascara. I loved the volumising effect it gave my lashes.
    Would I repurchase? - Yes I would.
    Clinique High Lengths Mascara Mini.
I really did not get on with this mascara, the brush is so weird in my opinion. The brush only has bristles on one side. Personally it didn't do anything for my lashes.
    Would I repurchase? - No I wouldn't.
    Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara.
I love having big lashes and love my bottom lashing being the same. I always find that normally mascara brushes are to big to do the job. Clinique bottom lash to me personally is defiantly worth the money if you like having stand out bottom lashes.
    Would I repurchase? - Yes I would.
    Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm Mini.
My sister gave me this little mini when I ran out of my Body shop cleansing balm. I personally like the Emma Hardie one more. I love how soft it leaves my skin feeling.
Would I repurchase? - Yes I plan on getting the full size.
Ted Baker No1 Bridlesmith Gate Body Wash.
This was another shower gel that was in my stock draw from Christmas time. It did the job but I got a bit bored of the smell towards the end.
Would I repurchase? - Yes probably.
Creightons Raspberry And Pomegranate Revive Bath And Shower Wash.
Again this was another product in the stock draws from Christmas time. I loved the smell of this. I used it as bubble bath. It also left my skin feeling soft and the smell lingered on the skin.
    Would I repurchase? - Yes I would.
Our Own Candle Company Raspberry Lemonade Candle.
Another present from my sister. She bought me this from a little independent seller from a market stall. The smell was lovely and it burnt perfectly.
    Would I repurchase? - Yes I would.
