As you can see our tree is a very traditional tree with the gold and reds. There is a whole mix of baubles on the tree ranging from some traditional nativity scenes to some gorgeous glass, crystals ones.
Last Christmas was the first Christmas I spend with Glen so we decided a personalised bauble would be the perfect way to remember our first christmas living together. This year we decided to purchase another one and it make it our Christmas tradition to buy a new bauble every year to add to our tree.
As I mentioned the first bauble that started this tradition was our two penguins with a heart that is personalised with 'Glen and Charlotte. First Christmas 2014.' Last year Glen also popped on in my stocking which as you can see is a little family of penguins which is personalised with 'Lottie Lots of Love Glen.' We purchased this years bauble whilst in Winter Wonderland for Glens birthday. As 2015 was the year we got engaged I really wanted a bauble associated with this. When I seen the ring with the heart in the middle and engaged wrote on it I knew that was the one. We had it personalised with 'Glen & Charlotte 3.04.15.'
I can't wait to buy next years bauble already.

Do you have any special baubles on your tree?

2015 has been a crazy year filled with lots of highs and a few lows just like every year. As 2015 is nearly over I thought I would take a look back on the past 12 months and write down the memories we have made to look back on this time next year.
January was an extremely tough month for Glen, I and our families. Not to dwell on it too much but we went through our second miscarriage.

February marked a year since I moved to Kent. Its crazy to think I have been here nearly two years.

March was a tough month for me as March is my mams birthday and it was also mothers day. It was the first mothers day in 21 years that I haven't spent with my mam which was quite sad.

April was the best month of 2015 for me. Glen and I headed back to the North with his family to spent Easter with my family. On the morning of Good Friday Glen gave me the best surprise ever and asked me to be his wife. We could not be happier and can not wait to plan our perfect wedding together. We also had our engagement party in April and we were extremely spoilt by all our friends and family.

May was a pretty boring we both worked lots but we did manage to squeeze in a mini spa weekend which was lovely and we both came back feeling extremely relaxed.

June was a crazy manic month for us with lots of anniversaries and birthdays. Apart from the not a lot happened.

July was mine and Glens anniversary and we headed back to the North for a week and spent our anniversary in York as it has a lot of memories for us.

August my parents and sister came to stay for a week.

September Glen and I went to see Zac Brown at The 02 with some friends. He was amazing and we would love to see him again.

October was my birthday month and I was extremely spoilt by Glen and my family.

November was a pretty boring month for us apart from all Christmas shopping we did.

December was Glens birthday month. We headed to London for our annual Winter Wonderland trip and I surprised him with tickets to see The Lion King on stage. As it is the month of Christmas we are heading to the North to spend Christmas with my parents and I can not wait.

I hope you all had an amazing 2015 and here's to 2016 and the memories we all make through the year.

With the new year just around the corner it's time to start thinking about that all important new years eve outfit. This year I think I am going to go down the route of black jeans and a nice top paired with some heels and a statement clutch. When using a clutch I also find it hard to fit everything I want in but I finally feel like I have got my essentials down to a tee.
When using a clutch bag I try and keep it to a minimum. My first essential is my Michael Kors Coin Purse which I pop in a little bit of cash, bank card and ID as I am one of them people who gets ID'd everywhere I go. I also pop in some tissues and chewing gum as you never know when you are going to need a tissue and I also find when I have been on a night I always need some chewing gum on the way home. As I am a bit of a beauty junkie I also pop some makeup in my bag, I normally just pop in some powder and whatever lip product I am wearing that evening. Just before I leave the house I pop in my phone and keys in and that is my bag sorted for the night.

What are your clutch bag essentials?

p.s sorry this post is late. I didn't have time to post it as I was being a top fiancee and seeing the new Star Wars movie with the other half.

With the new year fast approaching it is time to get a new diary for the year ahead. This year I have decided I want to get into the planner craze. I have spent hours upon hours watching youtube videos watching people plan. I currently have a planner coming in the post so the past few days I have spend hours browsing through Amazon looking at washi tape and stickers.

December is the time of year to snuggle up on the sofa in front of the tv with a blanket and some sweeties to watch some festive films.

Elf - Who doesn't love ELF. My favourite line is of course 'SANTA!!! I KNOW HIM!'

Muppets Christmas Carol - This film is saved for our Christmas Eve movie. Our favourite part is where they are at the top of the street lamp and Rizo is saying 'Light the lamp not the rat.'

Disney Scrooge - One of Glen's favourite Christmas films. A great Christmas film for all the family. His favourite part is where Scrooge is visited by Jacob Marley.

Happy Feet - I love this film because it is based on my favourite animals ... PENGUINS! I just love how cute they all are.

Grinch - Again who doesn't love The Grinch. He reminds me of certain people in my life who don't get excited about Christmas but then they love it in the end.

What are your favourite Christmas films?

Winter is the season where I like to dig out the berry tones, reds and shimmery nudes in my collection. Nothing beats a nice neutral, glittery eye look paired with a nice dark berry lip. The lipsticks I like to dig out include:
Lancome Rouge Sensation Red Desire - A gorgeous berry toned red.
Chanel Rouge Coco Legende - A lovely shiny muted red.
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Boy - A perfect shimmery nude, perfect to pair with those heavy eye looks.
Nars Audacious Lipstick Charlotte - A matte purple red shade. Perfect for vamping up your makeup look.
Dior Addict 322 - A sheer glossy red. I like to pair this with Chanel Legende to add extra pigment and shine.

What are you favourite winter lipsticks?

Marc Jacobs The Dreamer - I only really dig this palette out at the festive season or for a special occasion as it is super pigmented and I find it lasts without creasing. I love how you can create a smokey look with the matte colours and then apply the glitter to give it the festive edge.

Kiko Long Lasting Stick Shade 37 & 05 - Highly pigmented and super easy to apply. I like to apply these all over the lid and blend out the edges and that is the look done.

Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita - I find you can create the perfect eye look with the palette. I like to apply the top left colour all over my lid to form a base, add either the burgundy or dark brown all over the lid and blend and then to finish off the look I like to press the glitter onto my lid with my finger to give an intense look.

Seventeen Rose Quarz - A gorgeous duo chrome shadow. I find the best way to apply this shadow is with a flat brush to pack on the pigment. I like to blend out the edges to add a bit of of a smokey look to the shadow.

Stila Kitten - A love or hate product in the beauty world. I love this shadow packed onto the eye lids with a soft brown beige colour blended through the crease.

Chanel Le Vernis Nail Polish in the shade April - As soon as winter hits I brake out the dark red polishes. This Chanel one is one of my favourites to dig out.

Barry M Sunset Nail Polish in the shade Plum On Baby - Another one of my go to colours in winter are purples. This Barry M gel effect one is one of my favourites as I find it super quick and easy to go. I can get away with one coat and the colour lasts for around five days.

Kiko Powder Pro Nail Polish in the shade 30 Taupe - This winter grey has been my go to colour. Again I find this Kiko one super easy to apply and I can get it to last around a week with the standard ware and tare.

Nails Inc Winter Lights in the shade Royal Avenue - Christmas is the time to break out the glitter and sparkly. I think this one from Nails Inc is will be my Christmas Day polish.

Nails Inc Snowflake in the shade White Chapel - I currently have this polish on my nails and it looks like it has snowed on my nails. For a glitter it was super easy to apply and distributed evenly across the nails.

What are your favourite winter polishes?

Firstly I have no idea where this post is going but I was looking through old pictures yesterday and it made me realise even though I might not be the weight I want to be at the moment I have come an incredible long way. I find that a lot of the pictures on the left don't even look like me. It has taken me around three years to get where I am now and as I previously said I am defiantly not the weight I want to be but my news years resolution is to loose weight. I know a lot of us say it and never stick to it but knowing that our wedding will be in 2017 I feel this will give me the motivation and kick up the backside I need.
When I started my journey I never in a million years thought I would loose three stone never mind the THIRTEEN I have lost over the past three years. It has been tough and I have a lot of challenges to face in between but I am still here to tell the story and to show that hard work and determination does really pay off.

As I said in the beginning this post doesn't really make much sense, even after re-reading it I am still a bit unsure but I am not writing this post to brag or for people to praise me but because for the first time in years I feel good about how I look and have finally starting accepting myself for who I am.

A picture can speak a thousand words.

Village Candle Caramelized Pear Candle - Amazing smelling candle even when it is not lit.

Village Candle Vanilla Caramel Swirl Votive x2 - If you like sweet smelling scents this is defiantly for you. I want it in full size now.

Quality Candle Matches - Bit random but these are super long matches making it easy to light your candle when it is near the bottom.

Chill Ed Repair Reconstructor Treatment - I received this in the Southampton Blogger Meet Up goodie bag. It made my hair feel super soft and it looks super glossy after using it.

Bumble and Bumble Blow Dry Cream - I need this product back in my life. It made drying my hair super quick and super easy.

Garnier Ultimate Blends The Strength Restorer Conditioner Sample - I wasn't too fussed on this conditioner. It didn't do anything super special for me.

Garnier Ultimate Blends The Strength Restorer Shampoo Sample - Again I wasn't too fussed on this shampoo It didn't do anything super special for me.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Wipes - My holy grail face wipes.

EstÄ“e Lauder Take It Away Towelettes - I managed to pick these up for £5 and as bad as it sounds I would pay the £20 price tag for them. Defiantly worth the money.

Essence Lash Princess Mascara - Favourite 'drugstore' mascara.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara - Didn't love this as much as I had hoped.

YSL Volume Effect Faux Cils Mascara - This used to be one of my favourite mascaras I have found new loves so this one has taken a bit of a back seat now.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara - I love the effect this mascara gives my lashes. Gives me the length and lots of volume which is in my eyes the perfect combination.

Have you tried any of these products? What were your views on them?

For our first Christmas last year Glen and I bought each other special personalised baubles. We thought it would be a great idea to start our own little tradition together. This year we got a beautiful ring decoration with our names and the date we got engaged as a perfect reminder of the special day. This year it will sit pride of place with our two personalised penguin baubles from last year. We managed to pick ours up from a stall in Winter Wonderland this year but a lot of shopping centres and Christmas markets have stalls that will be selling them this time of year, if your local shopping centre does not have them you can also purchase them online. They make great little stocking fillers.

You can purchase the baubles from xmascastle.co.uk. To get 20% off any personalised bauble enter the code - xmascastle2015 at the check out.
